about

Coming from a city controlled by warlords, our society is facing never-ending social anxiety that has dealt with past and present trauma still lurking between us.

We feel the urge to breathe, let go, co-exist, understand, and forgive, but our future comes down to a ticking clock that moves backward as we try to move forward. Truly, a depiction of learned helplessness that thrives on a cycle of resiliency and regression where we can ask ourselves “How long?”.

"China Girl" talks about the destruction of oneself and the emancipation of a system that has held us hostage. The title of the tracks may sound ambiguous at first but they are reflective of many social attributes such as collective delusions, depression, oblivion, and trauma. However, the reach for Escape and contempt has long seemed far-fetched but we, as individuals seem eager to find this embodiment of freedom even for a split second.

We challenge ourselves.
We fail ourselves.
We deal with ourselves.
We destroy ourselves.
We rebuild ourselves.
Then repeat.
